Lift (Marc Isaacs)

Filmmaker Marc Isaacs sets himself up in a London tower block lift with his camera, unsure as to how the residents would react. They come to trust him and reveal the things that matter to them. The result is a humorous and moving portrait of a vertical multicultural community.

Boogie Woogie Daddy (Erik Bäfving)

About a son who, in his father’s folder of negatives, finds love, despair and reconciliation with a painful memory. The father’s suicide and the great emptiness that followed.

Footprints (Ben Hopkins)

A powerful documentary, with footage from both Afghanistan and Laos, that explores the devastating impact of cluster bombs on the people and the landscape of the regions visited. While questioning the use of such weapons director Hopkins creates a sympathetic study of those who have felt their destructive force. Made for the BBC series Storyville.
